Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Apestar Enterprise Ltd (“APESTAR”, “we”) collects when you use the APESTAR mobile app and related services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language because that is how we would want to read it too.
What we collect
- Guest profile. The app works without an account. A random installation identifier is created on your device so your conversations and saved estimates stay together. It does not identify you personally.
- Account details (optional). If you sign in with email, Apple, or Google we store your email address and, if provided, your name, so your designs sync across devices.
- Conversations and photos. Messages you send to the solar advisor, and any appliance or site photos you attach, are stored with your profile so you can revisit them. Photos are used only to analyse appliances and sites for solar sizing.
- Estimates and orders. Saved estimates include the name and contact you provide. If you buy a package we also collect the delivery name, phone, and address you enter at checkout.
- Payment. Payments are processed by Paystack. Your card details go directly to Paystack — APESTAR never sees or stores card numbers. We keep the order reference, amount, and payment status.
- Usage data. Basic app events (for example that a chat started or a checkout completed), platform, and app version, so we can fix problems and enforce fair-use limits.
How we use it
- To design solar systems, answer questions, and prepare estimates.
- To process purchases, arrange delivery, and provide support.
- To follow up when you explicitly ask us to (for example a product purchase request or an engineering team review).
- To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- AI processing partners. Your messages and attached photos are sent to established AI model providers to generate the advisor’s responses. They process the content to provide the service and are not permitted to use it to advertise to you.
- Paystack, to process payments.
- Cloud hosting providers, which store our data on our behalf under contract.
- Verified installers — only if you ask to be connected to one, and only the details needed to make that introduction.
How long we keep it
Conversations, photos, and estimates are kept while your profile is active so you can return to them. Saved estimates expire automatically. Records of completed sales are kept as long as accounting and consumer law require.
Deleting your data
You can delete your profile at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account and data. Guest profiles and their conversations are deleted immediately. For signed-in accounts we revoke all sessions and permanently remove your personal details; records tied to completed purchases are retained only where the law requires. You can also email support@apestar.xyz and we will handle the deletion for you.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to staff who need it, and sign-in tokens are stored in your device’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (and equivalent laws where you live) you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to how it is processed. Write to support@apestar.xyz and we will respond promptly.
Children
APESTAR is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
